Potential Photos for use in the Prelim task
Target Audience
This magazine will be targeting at a mature and sophisticated audience. It will contain detailed and thorough information about the activities and use a layout that presents the magazine as suave but interesting. The photos used will feature sixth from pupils and landscapes from around the school but will be used to make the work and site look stunning and fun.
Year 7 - Bunsen burner photo
This was going to be used to as the cover photo before i changed the age range featured for the magazine. Also, unfortunately there is a child in the background who appears to be doing a Nazi salute which has ruined the overall composition of the image.
Student Looking into the lens
This photo was potentially going to be sued because it provides a direct interation with the audience. This image has dead space around it allowing me to write about latest events and activities happening around the school without interefering with the central focusing point, his face. (Surveillance.)
Graphic Art Student
This photo was used because it will attract an audience who are interested in arts, media and photography. Although the student is not looking directly into the camera, it shows him being happy whilst doing the coursework. This photo is aimed at an elder audience around the age of 15-16.
Pinecone shot and surrounding school enviroment (Use of Depth of Field.)
This photo is aesthetically stunning and conveys that the school has a beautiful surrounding settlement. It provides a sense of escapism because of its vibrant colours and great clarity of the objects it focuses on. since the central two objects are the only things the lens focused on, it means that there is a lot space for lures.
