Time Plan 1

This is a time plan that lists what will be happening in the upcoming days before half term.

This was a simple plan that i wrote up for the organisation of my photography  For instance it lists possible locations and equipment that will be used.

First Computer Draft

This was my first attempt at creating a layout for my magazine. It was created before the drafts were drew up so isn't identical to it. This gave me the idea for the drafts and i took the bits that worked from this and incorporated it into my new design. I liked the colour scheme and style of the layout so that was kept similar. However the space on the right is not taken full advantage of and could be used to fit more stories and pictures into it. The text for the contents title will also stay the same as it looks quite sleek and modern.

These are first drafts that lay out and display how i would like my music magazine to look. It is quite a complicated style for the contents and cover page as it built up of shapes that leave a lot of dead space in the angles. However i'm planning to fill the dead space with quotes or images with a contrasting colour which will stand out from the shape fill. If it works though it will have a modern and contemporary look which suites my genre which is electronic music.  

The Cover page will draft will be composed like this. It will feature a main image which dominates the majority of the page which is accompanied by sections with short paragraphs and images linking into other stories in the magazines. Any of the space which is too narrow for text or images will be filled with a colour that matches the surrounding images and text. The colour black will feature heavily as it is rather a blank canvas and can be accompanied by a range of different colours without looking tacky or basic. 

This contents page features a similar layout to that of the cover page. it is built up of many squares of two colours. they are angled and leave the contents page on a tangent. this will feature a range of images of either individual artists or equipment that are based on Dubstep and bass music. For instance a large stereo system with separate speakers. Again filling space will be quite hard but if it works it will loo modern and contemporary. 

This page features a conventional double page spread layout which features an interview with an artist or group. It has a large image on one page with a quote or small paragraph overlapping it. accompanied by a page with a large heading taking an extract of the interview and the whole interview in the text beneath it. It also has a separate space for the questions.

At the concert i took around 1000 photos but after reviewing them and editing out the bad ones i was left with about 60 from 4 different sections. This isn't brilliant but it does mean that i have got some for the contents page and double page spread. Another down side is the resolution because it was only 8 Mega Pixel and some of the photos were taken on a VGA camera app which means its literally impossible to make out whats happening.  

I am considering this Wednesday hiring out the photography booth at school and talking some photos of students acting in the way either the artist or crowd did at the concert. This is only a basic idea but i was thinking of creating a singular photo from multiple different images to imitate photos from a live concert. this would consist of photos of people waving and photos of someone imitating the artist etc.

these images were taken from within the HMV Forum in Kentish Town. The resolution inst fantastic because you were not allowed SLR cameras within and for ease of use they were all taken with an 8 mega pixel phone camera. These give me an idea of the sort of colour schemes i should plan on using and overall atmosphere that the magazine should have. I also managed to get a basic understanding of the audience by the way they behaved and acted at the concert.
