Photoshop created and edited images

Cover Image

This is my image that I used for my front cover. It was originally taken in the artists home, so to make it seem more interesting the background was removed using the magic wand and eraser tool. I then looked on Google for digitally created things that related to modern music like Dubstep and electronic music.

Graphic Equalizer

I found a image similar to the one above and copied the overall design. This was done by placing many white squares to create the levels on the equalizer. Then one on each row was placed the equivalent of two squares above to show that's the limit for each row. Bevel and Emboss was added to add definition to these squares. A square was then added to the bottom with a relatively high transparency to create a mirrored effect. Finally a purple to black gradient overlay was added with a high transparency to give it a modern colour scheme and also to make it fit in with the house style of the magazine.

Title

This was going to be used for my cover page but did not fit the overall style and colour scheme so was scrapped and replaced with a simpler title. The tutorial for this was found on you tube.
